Terms of Trade

Design Environments offer a service that is tailored to suit the requirements of each project.

This requirement can vary greatly and is always determined and confirmed prior to any preliminary meeting.

The process commences with an in depth analysis and briefing that establishes the extent of the project.

In the greater Auckland area this initial brief is at no cost. Outside of Auckland and Internationally; travel, accommodation and incidental expenses will be charged to the client at cost via a 7 day payment invoice.
From the brief, Design Environments would begin the development process which would include the design intent, a preliminary floor plan and suggested finishes.

Fees...established by project
Invoiced at completion.

Once the concept is agreed, a quotation for the established scope of the project would be forwarded for approval. This stage could include project planning, full working drawings to construction issue, brand development, graphic design, staff presentation and collateral.

It can also include fees for project liaison if Design Environments are employed to oversee the project for th duration of the contract. design Environments can include documentation for the tendering process, provide in spreadsheet format all information from the tendering process and appoint the approved contractor on the clients behalf.

We would also be on site at the latter stages of the project for the site handover and review the construction.

Fees...As per quotation, establish by project
Fifty percent invoiced at commencement of the project
Balance paid on completion, twentieth of the month following completion
Professional services, engineer's, fire, HAVC reports are all at cost.

Individual graphic projects would be addressed in a similar manner and would be quoted prior to commencement. If required, print management would include a ten percent surcharge on administration and coordination with printers and the colour approval process.
